Enrolment

What do I ACTUALLY learn in a Freedom & Balance curriculum?

Besides what each curriculum suggests: Creative literacy. Emotional Intelligence. Entrepreneurship.

What’s that useful for?

The personal, professional and social aspects of your life.

How much creative experience do I need to join Freedom & Balance?

None.

How old do I need to be to join Freedom & Balance?

You can join at any age, but if you are under 18, we need permission from your parents to work with you.

Who are my educators?

Creators who want to make something personal and purposeful, just like you.

How do I enrol to Freedom & Balance?

Sign yourself up here. Receive a new exercise every Friday, alongside an invitation to work with the Alumni the following Saturday.

When should I expect this week’s exercise?

Friday 11:45am (GMT), in your inbox.

receiving & responding to weekly exercises

Okay, I got this week’s exercise, now what?

Have fun doing it! You can do it solo or with the Alumni at our weekly sessions.

I have enrolled but I haven’t received this week’s exercise, what should I do?

Send us an email and we’ll send you a link to the exercise.

I’m creatively stuck on this week’s exercise, how do I complete it the best I can?

There is no ‘right’ way to do the exercise, but this might help you.

Do I have to do every exercise in a curriculum?

No. Every exercise is designed to be a self-contained project. However, what you put in is what you get out.

What do I do once I’ve completed an exercise?

Add it to your portfolio. Make it a resource for friends and family. Share it with us. Or, you can try the exercise again. There’s a handful of ways one person can respond to our exercises!

What do you do with my art once I share it with you?

We add it to our internal library, to potentially share it with the Alumni at a later stage. For a more detailed answer, please read this

Why don’t you review work?

We do, but only if you present it to us in person at our weekly sessions. However, we do suggest you review your own work before you share it with us. We believe it’s a healthy skill to practice.

How do I review my own work?

Ask yourself: 1. What did I learn about myself and my world when making this? 2. How can I apply what I have learnt making this to my current phase in life? 3. What could I experiment with in order to better express myself next time?

Do you do talks and workshops that are not Freedom & Balance related?

We do. Have a look at our Talks & Workshops page, or email us directly to potentially collaborate.

How do I become a better artist?

Keep making art with us. Week by week, season by season.

Do I get a qualification at the end of each curriculum?

No, the process is the prize.
